Sunday Worship: Second Sunday Before Advent

St Augustine's Christmas Choir (Starting this Monday!)

Do you like singing?

Then why not join our Christmas Choir?

We will learn about 3 easy Christmas songs over 5 rehearsals.

Our rehearsals will take place on Mondays at 4pm on 13th, 20th and 27th November and 4th and 11th December.

This year our Carol Service will be on Sunday 17th December at 5pm.

We're really looking forward to having a choir for Christmas!

RE Active Church

Please can you help us to deliver RE Active Church sessions about Christmas to the children from St Augustine's Academy (Years 1 to 6)?

The sessions will take place in church from 1:30pm to 3:15pm on Friday 24th November, Friday 1st December and Friday 8th December.

If you are able to help on any of these days, please can you sign up using the sheet at the back of church or let me know by email?

There will be a short planning meeting at my house (83 Half Moon Lane, LU5 4AE) this Thursday (16th November) at 11am.

St Augustine's Church Christmas Fair

The Christmas fair is fast approaching. Remember to keep the date free and tell your friends.

All donations of books, gifts, toys, raffle prizes can be brought to church from now on. No bric a brac please.

Anyone who can help on the day or the previous evening, even for a short time please see Jackie or sign up on the sheet.

Children's Toys for Christmas

Our parish churches (St Augustine's, The Priory and St Fremund's) are collecting new toys for those individuals and families who may not be able to access new toys or presents at Christmas.

Please could you donate new and unopened toys, with a limit of £10 for an individual present, or several gifts? Whatever you can manage will be gratefully received. Ages 0-12/14.

Please bring your donations to the churches until the 3rd December....the earlier the better!

They will be distributed via our local food banks.

Wednesday Worship (Holy Communion)

Please join us at St Augustine's Church for Wednesday Worship at 10:30am.

There will be a short service of Holy Communion followed by a time of fellowship with tea/coffee and biscuits/cake.

Bible Study Group

Keith King runs a weekly Bible Study Group on Wednesdays at 2pm and he wondered if anyone new would like to join the group.

Renew26 this Friday (24th November)

Our next Renew26 session will be this Friday from 10am until 12noon.

Men's Winter Clothing Appeal

In our support for Care 4 Calais' Men's Winter Clothing Appeal, we are collecting specific items of clothing as detailed above.

Please bring any donations to church when it is open (normally Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday mornings but please check out this edition of Weekly News or drop me an email).

Alternatively, donations of NEW underwear and socks are also needed.

Singles Lunch at St Fremund's Church: Sunday 19th November

St Fremund's church are hosting a singles lunch on Sunday 19 November at 12.30 pm for 1.00 pm - £5 per person

A great opportunity for a lovely meal, fellowship and good company.

'Be Still' Course

Using the 24/7 Prayer resources and book, 'Be Still. A Simple Guide to Quiet Times' by Brian Heasley, we will be running five group sessions.

Meeting at St Fremund's Church, Westfield Road, Dunstable, on Tuesdays between

1.30 pm and 2.30 pm
