Recently released reports indicate that a Marshall Islands-flagged Cargo Ship docked at Berth 9 in Lagos port, Nigeria, was boarded by as many as ten robbers. The intruders managed to access the ship's stores and made off with a number of boxes of paint.
This is the second reported incident occurring in this location within 24 hours, and the second incident reported within Nigerian waters this year. It is notable that the modus operandi (MO) remains consistent in both cases, involving up to ten intruders accessing the ship's stores and absconding with boxes of paint. This repetition in tactics suggests a deliberate and organised effort, possibly indicating a coordinated group or a recurring security vulnerability that requires focused attention and mitigation measures.
