Raised near New Pittsburg with his two sisters, Wayne County Commissioner, Matt Martin, graduated from Northwestern High School and the Wayne County Schools Career Center, where he served as Marketing Class President. After graduation, Martin joined the United States Marine Corps, serving four years in diverse locations such as Parris Island in South Carolina, Camp Geiger in North Carolina, Redstone Arsenal in Alabama, Okinawa, Japan and Camp Pendleton, California.

As we embark on the new year, we want to take a moment to reflect on thesuccesses we achieved together in 2024. Thanks to your dedication and the sharedvision we all hold for a prosperous county, we have made great strides in economicgrowth, including new businesses, current business expansion and community andhousing developments.
