Extraordinary Gratitude

When we look at the state of the world today, we can easily see more negativity than gratitude. Unfortunately, listening to Christians complain is not much different from listening to unsaved co-workers or relatives. Psalm 100:4-5 reminds us that as Christians, we are called to be thankful and to live...

A Life of Gratitude

To say that life is sometimes hard is an understatement, but learning to be thankful begins with remembering:

  • He is God and we are His
  • He cares for us
  • He is always good and wants only the best for us.

Acts 16:22-30 gives us an example of how we can live a life of gratitude, even in the most difficult circumstances. Paul and Silas demonstrate that when we choose to be grateful, we find freedom.

Gratitude goes hand and hand with a lifestyle of declaring, boasting, and singing praises about our God. You can start by focusing on these things:

  • Write down one thing you are thankful for. This helps to remember what God has done for you.
  • When you hear negativity look for good. Look for what God is trying to tell you.
  • Never stop singing. Psalms 9:1-2 reminds us to rejoice and sing about His name.

Even when life is difficult, extraordinary gratitude leads to freedom.
