These past couple months have been really incredible to watch the years of planning to come together with the new Championship Meet Structure and the first Women & Girls Clinic. 

Thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make that all happen. The energy everyone brought to the 10&U Meet was electric, and to bring in over 1500 more athletes to our fast championship series proves these changes are pointing us in the right direction. 

The Women Coaches & Girls event was truly special for Olivia Smoliga and I. To bring that to the girls and have 180 applicants for 40 spots demonstrates how much experiences like this are valuable for our athletes. The feedback received from parents from ALL these camps and events are highlighting the positives that can't be measured - confidence, improved self-image, comradery when we come together as Team Illinois. 

Thank you to the over 30 women coaches who attended as well and to Rachel Stratton-Mills and Amy Oliphant, our featured speakers. 

This newsletter highlights our upcoming events for your reference, keep ya in the know. Tomorrow, an All Membership Newsletter will go out which will recap our most recent events and highlight athlete initiatives (upcoming athlete meeting 4/27, Jr. Officials, etc.)

Project LA Coaches Track - June 7-8th, 2025

Team Registration Opens Friday April 25th at 10:00am. 

• Cost: All Teams in Illinois Swimming are eligible to send 1 coach for Free
  • Additional coaches are $50 each.
• BONUS: The first 20 teams to register will receive a complimentary hotel room for 1 night stay of the Coaches Track - Saturday June 7th, sponsored by the Coaches Committee

A NEW OFFERING: Similar to Junior Coaches, there is the opportunity to become a Junior Official. The Junior Stroke & Turn Official certification is only available to 16 and 17 year olds.

Any teams with interest will need to select the Jr. Official membership option to allow those to register as a Jr. Official and complete the Training outlined HERE. 

As a coach, please take a minute to familiarize yourself with this new opportunity. More information will be found in the next ALL Membership Newsletter, put together by the Officials Athlete Members.

Agendas and zoom links will be available prior to the meeting. 

Everyone is welcome to attend committee meetings. Non-committee members in attendance will be without a voice or vote, unless recognized by the committee chair. Any questions should be directed to the chair, before or after the meeting.
