A new season of Sunday Afternoon Poetry Live videos is running on Instagram, anf getting shared to my Creative Arnold Facebook Page, so check it out if 1 Minute poetry appeals to you.
Here's the text of the most recent one:
Call my Name
Burn my body when I die
But do not scatter me onto sterile or distant ground.
Lay me gently beneath the boughs of your favourite tree.
Teach it my name.
Remember me when they dance in a whispering wind
Or gleam softly under the winter moon.
Remember me in the new leaves of spring
And the songs of birds winging across the sky.
Remember me in Autumn as each leaf falls,
Returning to source to be born again.
Lay your hands on the earth and call my name.
"Ahem, what about art?" did I hear you say? Good question. Right now, digital collage/altered photos is my go-to place of relaxation. I'm creating a series reflecting attitudes and attributes I want to celebrate. Find the stories behind them on Instagram again.
