Well we are just under six weeks away from opening night of Legally Blonde.
We are so excited to see tickets for sale at Horsham Town Hall, with community excitement growing now that they can purchase tickets to Horsham Arts Councils first full musical since Mamma Mia (2019). It has been a long journey to get back to the stage, and we are embracing everything that this means. Rehearsals continue apace and we look forward to our wonderful cast and crew hitting the Horsham Town Hall in October. What is also exciting is the number of first time, or returning after a break members who are taking the stage in Legally Blonde, many of them in leading and featured roles for the first time. Some you will have met on stage through Disney Concert (2021) and the Broadway Showcase (2022) earlier this year, continuing on for their first full musical with HAC, others are first timers to the stage, and they are well supported by our on stage veterans who always deliver magnificent performances. This continued mix of performers both new and old, makes it an exciting time for HAC. We are blessed with an abundance of talent in the Wimmera, and this cast and crew is no different.
With Seussical as our chosen major musical May 2023, applications are now open for positions on the production team. If you are interested in being a part of the team please forward your information to info@horshamartscouncil.com with a brief letter of introduction and what you want to apply for. We would love to see some new faces and talent!
With the end of the year fast approaching, it is time to also consider whether you might be interested in running for HAC’s 2023 committee. We are a hardworking and passionate group of individuals who are dedicated to striving for the betterment of HAC and watching it grow into the future. If you think that you might want to dip a toe into committee life, keep an eye out in the future for nomination forms.
Adieu until next time
