Do you inevitably come down with some dreaded bug or gastrointestinal upset while traveling, no matter what precautions you take? If so, then weāre kindred spirits.
For me this time, it was about halfway through our flight home that I started feeling āoffā. By the time I woke up on Tuesday morning, I felt like a Mack truck had hit meāheadachy, congested, and extremely fatigued. Additionally, a stomach upset had me downing the Pepto like shots of tequila.
As such, despite having two full days to prepare this newsletter, I just couldnāt muster the energy to get it out on my usual Thursday schedule. So here we are, a day late and a dollar shortāthe first day Iāve felt semi-human. Being sick has given me plenty of time to think, though, particularly about my upcoming project...
TIMEBLINK: The Prequel
In last monthās update, you might recall me mentioning the FREE novella coming this summer. Itāll be written from the point of view of our beloved timeblinking pediatrician, Dr. Morley Scott, and will include a shocking twist (because yāall know I love my twists!). My question to you is: would you prefer to see this story written in first- or third-person point of view? As in:
I turned the photograph over and read the note scribbled on the back. āSan Francisco, August 28, 2008āā and in the blink of an eye, I was thrust to another place and time.
Morley turned the photograph over and read the note scribbled on the back. āSan Francisco, August 28, 2008āā and in the blink of an eye, he was thrust to another place and time.
As I begin this story, I'm unsure whether to write in first person, which is more intimate, or third person, for a broader view of events. Both could work well for what Iām planning, but Iād love your input. Please take the quick survey below to share your preference, and I'll go with the option that gets the most votes.
