It might not be what you think. All of the maple syrup sold through Maple Farmers is wood-fired. We’re farmers who enjoy the traditional processes. We rely on our forests and protect our trees. Summer is winding down and the maple trees are starting to put on their party dresses for the fall celebration. The Vermont foliage is always so beautiful, but it's a reminder that like the squirrels and their acorns, we better be prepared for the coming year. Sugaring season will be here before we know it!

I love cutting, splitting, and stacking the year's firewood. My dog Maple loves it too. She happily chews on the wood while I work. The sight of six cords of stacked firewood is satisfying and provides the comfort that I'm ready for the coming year. Now I can focus on which trees to drop for following year so that they begin to dry.
