Dear Members,
March has been a significant month for P@SHA and Pakistan’s technology sector, marked by meaningful international engagements and continued progress on key strategic initiatives. Our participation in ASOCIO and APICTA events in Bangkok, along with the ASOCIO Plenary Meeting 2026, further strengthened Pakistan’s visibility in the regional digital ecosystem and reinforced our commitment to global collaboration ahead of Pakistan hosting the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2026.
On the policy and advocacy front, P@SHA leadership engaged with global stakeholders, including a high-level meeting with U.S. Senator Ed Markey in Boston, reflecting our ongoing efforts to build strong international partnerships and position Pakistan’s tech industry as a competitive global player. At the national level, our collaboration with HEC, MoITT, PSEB, and NCEAC on the National Skill Competency Test continues to address the critical industry–academia gap and improve graduate employability.
P@SHA remains dedicated to advancing industry growth through policy engagement, skills development, and international outreach, while creating opportunities for our members to connect, collaborate, and scale globally. As we move ahead, we encourage members to stay actively engaged in upcoming initiatives and continue strengthening Pakistan’s digital ecosystem with us.

ASOCIO and APICTA Exclusive Welcome Dinner | Bangkok
On 29th March 2026, Kheezran Khan (Director Brand & Global Outreach, P@SHA) attended the ASOCIO Official Exclusive Welcome Dinner for ASOCIO and APICTA members in Bangkok.
The APICTA Dinner was hosted by Dr. Shoab Khan (CEO, Center for Advanced Research in Engineering & Former Chairman of P@SHA) and Muhammad Zohaib Khan (Former Chairman of P@SHA), while the ASOCIO Dinner was hosted by Stan Singh (ASOCIO Chairman), bringing together regional leaders for meaningful engagement and collaboration.
The gathering provided an opportunity to strengthen connections, exchange insights, and showcase Pakistan’s growing presence in the global technology sector.
With Pakistan set to host the ASOCIO Digital Summit in November 2026, such engagements continue to build momentum and foster international collaboration!

ASOCIO Plenary Meeting 2026 | Bangkok
On 30th March 2026, Kheezran Khan (Director Brand & Global Outreach, P@SHA), accompanied by Dr. Shoab Khan (CEO of Center for Advanced Research in Engineering & Former Chairman of P@SHA), presented the event timeline and key plans for the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2026, which will be hosted in Pakistan in November 2026, at the ASOCIO Plenary Meeting in Bangkok.
The session, hosted by Stan Singh (ASOCIO Chairman) and board members, brought together representatives from multiple ASOCIO economies to discuss regional collaboration and digital innovation.
Sajjad Syed (Chairman, P@SHA) joined the meeting virtually, highlighting Pakistan’s role as the host nation and the opportunities for strengthening regional digital partnerships.
The discussion emphasized key initiatives, strategic priorities, and ways for industry leaders to engage ahead of the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2026.

Dr. Sonia had the honor of attending the Pathfinder Group – CITADEL Iftar & Dinner on 12th March, held in the serene and picturesque surroundings of Murree.
The evening offered a meaningful blend of reflection, fellowship, and engaging conversations with industry peers and colleagues.
Hosted under the leadership of Ikram Sehgal and Zarrar Sehgal, the gathering brought together partners and members of the community to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan in an inspiring setting at Amanibagh, the Sehgal family residence.

The discussion highlighted the role of global partnerships, participation in international events, and strategies to showcase Pakistan’s innovation on the world stage.
This meeting reflects P@SHA’s commitment to strengthening global connections and creating more opportunities for Pakistan’s tech industry.

Joint Initiative on National Skill Competency Testing (HEC, MoITT, PSEB, P@SHA, NCEAC)
The National Skill Competency Test is centered on aligning computing education with industry needs, enhancing assessment credibility, and improving graduate employability. The Higher Education Commission (HEC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication (MoITT), PSEB, Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), and the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), has undertaken a structured consultative process to address the industry–academia skill gap.
The Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) shall serve as the testing body for conducting the computer-based test. Coordination, verification, and facilitation shall be carried out through a Secretariat established at NCEAC, under the oversight of HEC, MoITT, PSEB, and P@SHA.
