The Slovenian media outlet “Necenzurirano” published the content of a non-paper allegedly sent by the Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janža to the President of the European Council Charles Michel. The thrust of the non-paper is proposal to redraw the borders in the Western Balkans.
Nonetheless, websites “Skener”, “RTV BN”, “Istok RS” and “Bijeljina press” published a headline claiming that "Brussels wants to redraw borders," intentionally misrepresenting the affair.
The document, sent from Slovenia to certain EU officials through unofficial channels, proposes expansion of Serbia, Croatia, and Albania to the detriment of neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Kosovo. To date, ranking EU officials have publicly rejected any such considerations.
