Kalispera !
Three months have passed since I sent out a newsletter - Wow. I think we can safely say this monthly newsletter is now quarterly.
Holiday planning is now well underway, and in fact, bookings for the summer are so heavy in some places, like Santorini, that it will be very slim pickings if you wait much longer to book a hotel.
Right on time, the annual traffic increase to the website and Facebook Group activity skyrocketed the minute Christmas ended - it seems booking a trip to Greece was a very popular New Year's resolution again.
I opened up some extra time slots for 1:1 trip consultations, but they all booked out very quickly, right through to April. I will end them in May, as I do each year. When things get even busier!
It's been great to see people talking about a wider range of destinations this year—places like Epirus, Pelion, and Macedonia and a lot more lesser-known islands. Hopefully, my own efforts to promote these places are paying off, but there is also a real shift and, in many respects, a backlash against mass tourism and crowds. I hope it continues!
There are lots of new articles on the website, including a complete guide to our favourite neighbourhood in Athens, several new itineraries, and an editorial called Is Santorini Worth it? which has already been shared thousands of times.
I've also added a dedicated page to the site that is especially pitched at Cruise Ship passengers, with one-day guides/itineraries for 6 popular ports.
I've also managed to publish two new podcast episodes - one on Naxos and one on Epirus, and I've added a Meet the Team page to the website where you can read about the six people in Greece that I choose to partner with, and their discount codes.
Lastly, I also finalized our own next trip, which will be to some of the Northern Aegean islands, starting with Ikaria, a full week on Lefkada, and a 12-day road trip on the Mainland. We are also heading to Portugal, which will be brand new to us. I cannot wait!
Until next time,
Sandy
As always, don't forget the great planning resources on the website.
