Réveillon is a Creole tradition dating back to 19th century New Orleans. On Christmas Eve, Orleanians would gather with loved ones after midnight mass for a huge celebratory meal as they waited for the birth of Christ. Families also observed New Year's Eve in the same way, sometimes even more elaborately.
The best restaurants in New Orleans have adopted their own modern 21st century spin on this tradition, offering specially designed multi-course meals over the winter festive season.
In 2015, Mon Voyage offered a fondly remembered New Orleans trip centered around the Réveillon experience. By popular demand--some folks wanted to return and others were just haunted by having missed out--I am pleased to announce Réveillon 2021, scheduled for December 14-18.
In addition to enjoying a fabulous meal (with wine) every night of the trip, we will also cover many of the artistic, cultural, and historic treasures that the Crescent City has to offer her guests: the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the World War II Museum, the Mardi Gras collection at the Presbytère, a brunch cooking class, and more.
I can't wait to show you some of my favorite places in the city that I called home for much of my life. To learn more about this incredible, indulgent getaway, please click the link below for details.
