April has gone by in a flash! For us, it was a very special month - 12 years ago, our organization was officially re-registered as EcoVisio. It was a wonderful opportunity to remember all the road we've traveled, the lessons we've learned and, most of all, the beautiful community we've built together. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and for being part of this journey with us.
Even so, we haven't stopped working - in addition to April's activities, we've been busy preparing for May, which promises to be an eventful month. We look forward to seeing you soon! |

| Solidarity with NGO "Femei pentru Femei" |
|
On March 13, a fire broke out on the pedestrian street in Chișinău, affecting several offices and workshop spaces. Among them was the office of AO Femei pentru Femei, which was completely destroyed. We have always believed that a strong civil society is built through collaboration, beyond any specific cause. Feminism intersects with environmental protection and climate action, and solidarity between organizations is crucial. That is why we have donated 5,400 MDL to the FpF association, contributing to their goal of raising 250,000 MDL. More on how you can support them here. |

| Advocacy training for NGOs |
|
Advocacy when? With which institutions? Why? Who? And most importantly – how is advocacy done? We managed to cover these topics in depth during our advocacy and communication with authorities training, held on March 21–22 as part of the NGO capacity-building program. We had teams from 13 NGOs from across the country, from north to south, who spent two days learning from Andrei Lutenco and Laurențiu Racu. We started with the fundamentals of advocacy and engagement with authorities, practiced crafting impactful messages, explored national involvement strategies, and wrapped up with discussions on using digital tools for advocacy campaigns. You can see in this post how the training went. |

| Urban gardening workshop |
|
The city can be seen as "one big garden", according to trainer Radu Crăciun from Romania, who guided us through the world of permaculture and urban gardening. On March 14-16 a training dedicated to this very topic - permaculture in urban gardening. The theoretical part of the workshop was hosted at the EcoVisio office, while the practical part took place at the Urban Garden on near Chisinau Circus. The event was organized by Active Communities for Participatory Democracy CADP in collaboration with EcoVisio, and they trained a group of 15 people in various permaculture practices. Read more about the topics and the atmosphere of the workshop here. |

| Tree plantings in 2024 |
|
Picture this: 8 towns and villages in Moldova – Colonița, Pohrebea, Floreni, Mereni, Todirești, Dolinnoe, Rîșcova, Malinovskoe. In each of them, there was a local activist who wanted to organize a community tree planting. And not only did they want to — they actually made it happen! That’s how more than 950 saplings were planted around these communities — with the help of neighbors, relatives, and locals coming together. Check out the photo gallery — not the most professional, maybe, but 100% filled with real, heartfelt emotions. |

There were more materials promoted in April in the area of waste management, education and social entrepreneurship... Unfortunately all those materials are only available in Romanian (the main language spoken in the Republic of Moldova) or Russian, that's why they are not included in the English version of the newsletter. However, if you want to have a look at them, see the button below.

| People of EcoVisio |
|
I am Daniela Ciornaia and I believe that change starts with me. I started to get to know the green lifestyle since 2020, but in 2021 I participated in the most beautiful and interesting project of my life "Youth & Environmental Crisis" organized by the activEco program, where my life took a new turn, adopting a lot of practices that are friendly to the environment and to me. I am the project coordinator of "Book for Acts", a project that combines the useful and the enjoyable. More recently, I am also a multiplier for KeepCool. My life gets even more colorful with young people.
