The Shack - 7.30pm
Miriam Lieberman Trio. African influences blend seamlessly with blues-infused melodies & soaring vocal harmonies (violinists/ singers Lara Goodridge, Susie Bishop) in the music by Sydney singer songwriter Miriam Lieberman. Soulful stories, beautifully told through strings, African kora & her unmistakable voice. Her musical journey has taken her from Guinea & Mali, where she studied the kora – a west-African harp – to central India, Indonesia, Mexico, South America – influencing her musical style, plus a catchiness & contemporary tone entirely her own. “Simply brilliant" 4.5 stars, Jeff Glorfeld, The Age.
Little Coyote Acoustic is the ambient step brother of Northern Beaches based band LITTLE COYOTE. They are a young musical duo of vocals and acoustic guitar with a large mixed bag of covers and originals from all genres and styles. Their originals are a blend of Blues, Soul, Rock, Folk and Pop.
Aaron Lyon - a soulful Blues balladeer, with music forged by the blues of life, love & loss, at no expense to his roguish charm. With a guitar & an unusually athletic voice, he evokes handsome imagery through melodic storytelling. Original compositions with various stylistic influences. Has played many major venues incl. the Vanguard, Basement, Tony Bilson’s Number One Wine Bar & Bistro, & more. Played support for Diesel, Jenny Morris, Leonard Cohen, Michael Buble, Powderfinger. more.
Flat Rock Boys. Born out of jams in the barrel aging basement of their favourite local brew cafe, during breaks from other musical projects (Crooked Fiddle Band, Two Fat Bastards), they are an old-timey, folky, bluegrassy collaboration between: Mark 'The Crawdad' Stevens (vocals, mountain dulcimer, double bass), Antonio 'Panda' Filando, 'the Django of Mando' (mandolin, double bass, vocals), & Gordon 'Longshanks' Wallace (guitar, vocals, clawhammer banjo). Trad & not-so-trad tunes, around the high lonesomeness of the mountain dulcimer & the camaraderie of longtime friends.

Fay Sussman & The Klezmer Divas - 6pm
Woman power on stage - Eastern European style! All-gal band The Klezmer Divas is an exciting show that highlights the passion & emotion of Klezmer & Yiddish song, while drawing on styles incl. '30s swing jazz, Gypsy, tango, & waltz. Having performed extensively on the Australian festival circuit, in 2013 The Klezmer Divas were invited to perform in 5 Polish Towns. A feature documentary Pockets of Hope was filmed during this tour, playing at film festivals internationally. A corresponding doco 'Fay’s Journey’ was recorded for ABC’s Compass, screening for 3 consecutive years, & winning Best Short Film at the London Independent Film Festival. Fay’s soulful & emotive singing is reminiscent of the Berlin cabaret of Marlene Dietrich, while in the Polish press (with Polish embassy's rave review of her performance), they described her as the 'Yiddish Piaf'. Fay Sussman (vocals), Emily-Rose Sarkova (vocals, accordion, piano), Susie Bishop (vocals, violin), Loretta Palmeiro (clarinet), & Jessica Dunn (double bass).
