PHI presents works from the Horizon and Panorama VR 360 categories, many of which are Canadian premieres and have been celebrated at major festivals. Quebec and Canada will be honored with four works:
Plastisapiens by Edith Jorisch and Miri Chekhanovich produced by the National Film Board of Canada;
Blood Relations by Analee Weinberger produced by the National Film Board of Canada;
21-22 China by Thierry Loa produced by HELLOHELLO
This Is Not A Ceremony, by Ahnahktsipiitaa produced by the National Film Board of Canada.
Some of the works were celebrated internationally including From The Main Square by Pedro Harres with the Grand Jury Prize at the 2022 Venice International Film Festival, Fight Back by Céline Tricart, winner of the New VR Market award at the 2021 Festival du Nouveau Cinéma or Kubo Walks The City, winner of the Storyscapes Award at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival. Finally, LAÏKA by Asif Kapadia, the director behind the great Diego Maradona documentary, will have its Canadian premiere (his first virtual reality work).
