NEW RESEARCH

Hritika Rana was awarded a PhD degree from Department of Development Studies, School of Arts, Kathmandu University in March 2019.  Her dissertation, ‘Nexus between Agricultural Transition, Feminization of Agriculture, and Women’s Empowerment in Nepal’, examines changing gender relations in citrus-producing pocket areas of Sindhuli district in central Nepal by using a transformatory research design. The research unravels how gender hierarchies are changed, maintained, or exacerbated within a multi-functional agrarian transition framework.
