Fee Waiver Since Nepal is an Electronic Information for Libraries (EIFL) partner country, authors from Nepal are eligible for a waiver of the Article Processing Charges (APC) while publishing their articles in open access journals published by De Gruyter journals. The agreement runs until December 2021, and the offer is available to authors publishing in any of over 440 journals. Hritika Rana was awarded a PhD degree from Department of Development Studies, School of Arts, Kathmandu University in March 2019. Her dissertation, ‘Nexus between Agricultural Transition, Feminization of Agriculture, and Women’s Empowerment in Nepal’, examines changing gender relations in citrus-producing pocket areas of Sindhuli district in central Nepal by using a transformatory research design. The research unravels how gender hierarchies are changed, maintained, or exacerbated within a multi-functional agrarian transition framework. For more information, contact ranahritika@gmail.com

The Newsletter is a periodic electronic publication from Social Science Baha, Kathmandu, featuring information and latest developments on Nepal-related social science activities. It will initially be offered as a bi-monthly service, and the frequency may change depending on demand and available content. The Newsletter is a free service of Social Science Baha's, in keeping with its mandate to contribute to Nepal’s social science knowledge generation and dissemination.

Any individual or institution can send submissions for inclusion in the Newsletter along the prescribed guidelines given below. Submissions can be sent to newsletter@soscbaha.org.

Edited volume: Title of chapter; author(s); title of the book; editors(s); publisher and year of publication; URL link to the publisher’s page featuring the book, where available. Journals (including special issues): Name of journal and title of special issue (if any); guest editor(s) (if any); volume and issue numbers, and date of publication; URL link to table of contents of the journals, where available. Journal articles: Title of article; author(s); name of journal; volume and issue numbers, and date of publication; URL link to the article, where available.
