Brothers of SR-7B,

As the end of the year draws closer, it’s time to begin preparing for the spring and summer. It is the perfect time of the year to sign up for both Cardinal Conclave 2020 and exciting Summer 2020 OA High Adventure opportunities.

This past year, I was able to attend OA Wilderness Voyage at Northern Tier. My crew cheerfully served the boundary waters during our first week, working to improve a portage trail. During the second week of the program, we were able to create our own itinerary and paddle and portage over 150 miles in the boundary waters. It was an amazing trip that allowed me to make new friends, experience the adventure of a lifetime, and develop memories that will last for years to come. I still keep in touch with my crew and have a map of our voyage hanging on my bedroom wall, which emphasizes the impact of this trip.

My advice to Arrowmen is to take advantage of OA High Adventure opportunities this summer, as OA Wilderness Voyage was a great experience in my life and I would hate for any of you to miss out on the benefits of these fantastic opportunities.

Yours in Cheerful Service,
Ethan Syster Section Chief

OA High Adventure Programs

Each summer, the Order of the Arrow offers a myriad of different High Adventure opportunities to meet your summer needs. Maybe it's going for a plunge in the Atlantic Ocean with the Ocean Adventure at the Florida Sea Base. Or maybe hiking is your passion; if so, what better place to go than the Philmont Scout Ranch, where you can hike the same trails as your Scoutmaster or Scouting ancestors as a part of your Trail Crew experience? Have you ever thought about what the Native Americans and early explorers did to be avid traders? Maybe Wilderness Voyage or Canadian Odyssey is your calling. Whatever your summer aspirations may be, these National High Adventure bases have put together a multitude of options for you.

"This night was the pinnacle moment of my summer and helped me reflect on all the good. It made me want to come back even more. I truly love this place. Honestly, it is all I talk about in school and I try to convince everyone that they should work at Philmont because it will be the best summer of their lives."
