Now that FLTF has acquired the properties on behalf of the counties, we notified FERC of that fact and commented on FERC’s proposed fine to Boyce Hydro of $15 million. Given there are significant issues with the Boyce Hydro FERC licenses and the fact that it would be economically unfeasible to recover the investments needed to keep hydro on the dams, we are requesting FERC to find a smooth path to move regulatory authority to the State of Michigan. This is in the best interest of the community.
Property owners in the Four Lakes Special Assessment District will soon receive their survey from PSC Consulting. The survey will help inform the communities' desire to restore the lakes, and their appetite or ability to pay. Check out our survey webpage for details.
Surveys are being mailed to the same address as where your tax bills are sent. If you don't currently live at that address or you do not have mail forwarding set up, please contact Cody Proudfoot at Public Sector Consultants to get the survey.
