How solvent ink dispensers are designed for safety

In this edition of InkConnection, we look at the essential safety features of ink dispensers for solvent inks. Solvent inks contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are highly flammable and hazardous to the environment. In this second article about printshop safety, we explain how today’s dispensers eliminate the risk of explosion and emissions with grounding devices, pressurized atmospheres for electronic circuits, and vapour extraction systems.
These safety features are included in GSE’s Colorsat dispensing systems, making them ATEX and IECEx-compliant. See our first article on safety for a reminder about the regulations and industry standards for working with solvent inks.
