A WORD IN DUE SEASON

Dear Friends,

The new year is upon us, more quickly than we had expected. I wish you a blessed one.

New years always inspire new beginnings. Perhaps you need something new: a new start, a new hope, a new joy, a new job, a new friend. Whatever it is you need, Jesus can and will supply it.

Why not start off this year by dedicating yourself and your year to the Lord of lords? There is no one better than He to whom you can commit your life. No one is more trustworthy. No one is more faithful. No one loves you more.

So, as we begin this new year, do what the Scripture commands us to do in Romans 12: 1:

"And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him."

The Penelope Pumpernickel Series of Chapter Books for 6-10-Year-Olds

__I am making good progress on Book 2 in the Penelope Pumpernickel Series is titled Penelope Pumpernickel: Dynamic Detective.  Lord willing, this story will be released in late Spring of 2021.

The Dixie Randolph Series for Middle-Grade Readers

__I am currently writing Book 1 of The Dixie Randolph Series of Middle-Grade Books for 7-12-year-olds. It is titled Dixie Randolph and the Mystery of Seabury Beach.

I plan to write six books for this series, Lord willing.

WHERE IS MARYANN THIS MONTH? . . .

January is usually a quiet month for me, a month in which I spend extended time with the Lord, seeking His will for me for the new year. I will be mostly praying, fasting, and writing during this month. If you have any prayer requests, please let me know.

THE RECIPE RACK

Ground Beef & Veggie Skillet
(from the kitchen of MaryAnn Diorio )

INGREDIENTS:

1 Tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 zucchini, chopped
1/2 red onion, chopped
1 small bunch asparagus tips, chopped
Mrs. Dash Original Seasoning
Salt & Pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

Melt oil in large skillet.
Cook ground beef until brown.
Add chopped vegetables and cook until tender.
Season with Mrs. Dash seasoning.
Add salt & pepper to taste.

Serves 4.
