I am a proud T-shirt and jeans guy and cannot consider myself a fashion guru although having lived in Hull for five years and I am well-aware and indeed capable of appreciating the wondering independent clothes shops that our city has to offer. Indeed, on more than one occasion I have heard of out-of-towners coming to Hull for the day just to attend said shops. In that spirit, this article contains some of the finest independent clothes shops which I believe will be of considerable interest to Hullensians and out-of-towners alike.
Sadly, I am ill-equipped to understand art; over the course of many trips to galleries, I have come to the conclusion that I do not possess even an inkling of art-related proficiency. For illustration (pardon the pun), I struggle to draw a smiley face. Ironically, my immediate task is to inform you, the reader, about art exhibitions taking place in Hull this summer! To that end, this article will do just that, with our city’s Ferens Art Gallery; Humber Street Gallery and 87 Gallery all featuring. Disclaimer, if nothing makes sense, go easy on me!
