Principal’s Comments:

Dear Parents and Friends of the School,

A reminder school finishes for the term next Thursday at 3 pm and we restart on Wednesday 26 April.

Staff news: Miss Wallace has had her leave request for Terms 3 & 4 approved by the Board. I am in the process of finding a quality replacement and will notify you all when this process is completed. Mr Thorne is currently on 6 weeks’ leave with his family overseas.

Thank you to all the parents who expressed interest in training to be a Waterise Instructor. This is very much appreciated.

Thanks to all the families that are supporting the afterschool sports teams. This is also much appreciated.

Thanks to all the families that participated in the Shore to Shore fun run on Sunday. I heard it was a great occasion.

We are generously sponsored by the New World Devonport owner who gives us a % of money based on the receipts that we collect. If you shop at New World Devonport, could you please bring your receipts to school and give them to Vesna. This money goes toward PE and sports gear. Thank you.

I look forward to seeing many of you at Room 3’s (Yr 5) assembly tomorrow.

PTA Update | Sausage Sizzle

On Tuesday 4 April we’ll be having a Sausage Sizzle Lunch for the kids, with all proceeds going to Eskdale School’s flood recovery.

We will be selling sausages in bread and chocolate chip biscuits for $2 each. You can preorder on Kindo now.

The money we donated to Eskdale School from our fair proceeds is already helping them get back on their feet. Here’s an article showing how they’re doing

Aroha Festival at The Rose Centre

Haere mai to our Aroha Festival, Sunday 2nd April from 10am - 12pm. We will have Circus performers sharing their skills, Kooky The Clown doing a Comedy Magic Show & Bubbles, Face-Painter, Demonstrations from local Dance schools, Apera the Musician, Market Stalls, Food Stalls, DPT Toys & more. Come along for a chilled, relaxing morning celebrating the love of our neighborhood, our people, the Arts in our community centre.
