If you've ever read any of my letters, you know I write about food, baking, some of the inspirations behind Dohful cookies, and many more. 

But there is one unique letter, that was not about any of these. It was the story of how I became a foodie in the first place. And that's the letter I want to talk to you about today. 

Welcome to Dohful's Sunday Letter guys, today's story will have me, my 2 fathers, you guys, and a lot of nostalgia! Do read on! 

It was exactly this time, last year that I wrote The Story of My Two Fathers. It was a story from my childhood and my present, telling you about how and why I became a foodie in the first place! 

This was actually the 5th Sunday Letter I ever wrote and to be honest I was just finding my feet, sharing these stories, at the time. 

But boy, the response we received was beyond tremendous! 

At the time I remember, we used to have just about 3000+ subscribers for our Sunday Letter, and even then we received countless replies on that email.

So many of you even ordered the Macadamia Nuts cookies for your fathers as recommended by me. 

One of the replies I remember I got from someone who had ordered the cookies not just for his father but also his girlfriend's father. No prizes for guessing who won the Boyfriend of the Year Award there! 😜

In this one year, Dohful, the Sunday Letter, and me, we have all grown together.

The Sunday Letter reaches 25000+ people today, and with an open rate of 25% week on week, this letter actually being read by 6000+ of you guys right now.

Honestly, there was a time when 6000+ subscribers was a dream come true and today it all just seems so surreal. 

If someone would have asked me a year back, what's your plan for Sunday Letter in the coming year, I would have had no response at all! 

But I kept writing. Without thinking, without planning, without overwhelming myself. And one year later, here we are! 

Same time, one year later, talking about the Story of my 2 Fathers again.

Before I wrap this up, you would never believe what just happened! As I was typing away this letter right now, I got a call from someone who had received our cookies as a gift from someone. They had loved the cookies and wanted to order more. 

But the best part, the recipient's father next came on the line and told me that these were the best cookies he had eaten in a long long time. 

The conversation was so serendipitous, it almost felt like getting a thumbs up from all the fathers' who've ever had our cookies!
