A few weeks ago, the Electronic Warfare Newsletter’s
editorial office was delighted to receive a wealth of new books from The Lightning Press. These included a splendid new volume examining the armed forces of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in some detail.
In particular, the book details how the North Korean Army organises, deploys and would use electronic warfare in a future conflict, as we explain in our It’s Not Easy in the DMZ article.
Our new Programme Focus column looks at specific, ongoing electronic warfare procurement programmes around the world. First to fall under our spotlight is the electronic warfare system equipping new vessels for the German Navy, as discussed in our KORA-40 for Germany’s New Frigates article.
Finally, we explore an intriguing new technology harnessing EW to attack Covid-19 as detailed in our Killing the Virus electronic warfare podcast.
As always, we have the latest news in the electronic warfare product, programme and operational domains in this month’s Spectrum SitRep.
