Hi !
I've missed writing to you! I hope you had a wonderful summer.
My Mami's visit in July was perfection. As was my take-it-easy and go to the beach summer. Check and check.
I even managed to submit several poems last weekend thanks to Women Who Submit's "Submit 1" event -- yay for community and accountability.
It doesn't quite feel like autumn yet considering a recent CA heatwave, but there have been quite a few cha-cha-changes happening over here.
My youngest started extended day preschool, my eldest started kindergarten, and I landed a new part-time job!
By this time next week, I'll have started as the Long Beach Public Library Foundation's Development Database and Executive Assistant.
Basically I get to merge my love of books, libraries, and non-profit work all while still being able to pick up my kiddos after school. Win. Win. Win.
I'm excited and a little nervous about going back to work after my long hiatus. This transition also has me thinking about how I'll move forward with some of the offerings I've created over the last few years. Stay tuned for more on that.
For now I'll just ask you to wish me luck on this newest adventure!
Finally, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, I'm highlighting a few Bookshop Recommendation Lists Below. If you're looking for good Latine lit, I've got you covered!
How was your summer? What cha-cha-changes are in store for you and yours this season?
