Centered Clay Studio: Heart-healing art for everyone
|
|
“When you’re at the wheel, you breathe,” says Debby Wyatt, owner of the new Centered Clay Studio at Kennett Pointe. The universal quest for balance might just end at the potter’s wheel. Mud slipping through fingers, shaping clay into something new and beautiful—something unearthly happens in that connection with earth.
“There’s nothing like it, and it’s so exciting to come away with a physical object you’ve made,” Wyatt says.

Join Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library! All children from birth to age 5 who live in Chester County can now enroll in the Chester County Imagination Library program to receive a free book in the mail once a month.
The Chester County Imagination Library is powered locally by Arts Holding Hands and Hearts (AHHAH), in partnership with the Justamere Foundation and the Kennett Library. This program seeks to increase literacy levels among pre-school-age children, provide opportunities for positive family experiences and engagement, and foster a love of reading in the greater community.
Enroll your child and help us build a stronger Chester County community—one book at a time.
Program highlight: The library is hosting a Solstice Celebration on Saturday, December 17th, 10am–2pm. All kids and adults are welcome to make gifts and ornaments to celebrate the holidays and the winter solstice.

A "Treemendous" Gift to KSQ
|
|
We want to extend a huge thank you to Gareth and Christie Peoples and their crew at Treemendous Tree Care for lighting up the tree at the end of the Genesis Walkway for all to enjoy this season! While cost prohibited us from lighting the trees up and down State Street again this year, Treemendous donated the lights and labor for this tree. With the lights, stars, and floral installation by Hilltop Flower Co., the Genesis Walkway is a magical place to enjoy in KSQ.
Thank you for reading and for your support. We hope to see you at the Kennett Square Holiday Village Market at The Creamery this weekend and wish you a happy and healthy week "Around the Square"!
