Building Cross-Border Peace in West Africa

In a ground breaking initiative, Positive Peace Activator Richelieu Allison brought together 50 community leaders from Liberia and Sierra Leone for a peace and security workshop. The training fostered connections between traditional leaders, women's groups, youth organizations, and border security personnel, strengthening regional integration across the Mano River Union Region.

At East European University, Dr. Goran Bandov led an engaging workshop on "Positive Peace: Trauma, Dialogues, and Multifaceted Sustainable Solutions." The session brought together students from multiple universities to explore how the Eight Pillars of Positive Peace apply to their regional context.

As head of Terang Nusantara Hijau Foundation, Arry combines 40 years of professional expertise with environmental stewardship. His mangrove restoration projects don't just heal the environment – they create sustainable income opportunities, embodying the interconnected nature of Positive Peace.

Sally Angelson - New Zealand

Sally is revolutionizing peace education through The Manaaki Peace Club in Dunedin primary schools. Drawing on local concepts of kindness (manaakitanga) and unity (kotahitanga), she's helping 8-10 year olds become peace leaders through practical activities like conflict mapping and environmental care.

Nigeria: Youth Engagement in Peace

Priscilla Oluwatoyin Ahanonu brought Positive Peace to life for 40 Lagos students, using recent local flooding as a case study. Her innovative approach connected environmental challenges with peacebuilding, inspiring students to become active community change-makers.
