My Home My Choice Project

Whaikaha are promoting a series of online workshops to get feedback from disabled people in Residential Care and family/whanau members of those who may be considering Residential Care. The final whanau/family zoom session will be held on 9 November at 10.30 am. More details can be found here. They are also holding separate engagements with disabled people and tāngata whaikaha Māori, Pacific people and service providers. For more information on these please email.

Illuminate – A Night Market with a Twist!

We look forward to presenting many incredible social enterprises and entertainers to the community on Saturday 2 March 2024, 5-9pm, Mt Albert War Memorial Hall.

Team Motive @ Hampton Downs

Sunday 19 November - 1 pm - 5 pm

Team Motive is holding a track event for the disabled community to come along and be involved in an afternoon of petrol-fueled fun. Passenger on-track experiences for $30/person. With up to 3 sessions during the day! Priority is given to disabled passengers. Plenty of interesting cars on display and on track. Parade Laps - there will be an opportunity to take your own car/van/family around the track in parade laps. Pre-booking is required - Email here. More info.

Measles update

MMR Vaccine and alternative formats

Aotearoa New Zealand is at a very high risk of a Measles outbreak. It can spread very easily between people who are not immune or vaccinated against it. If you suspect Measles you should seek medical advice urgently, even if you do not believe you are a contact of the current active cases. Contact your doctor or GP or contact Healthline for free anytime on 0800 611 116. If it is an emergency, call 111 immediately.
