VISION's mission is to mobilize community resources to help create a better future for Schuylkill County.  Our key areas include health and wellness, arts and culture, quality of life, importance of community and economic development.

On February 11th, VISION held it's annual meeting for board members.  VISION's Board of Directors consists of 19 members of Schuylkill County businesses and communities who assist VISION through development of policies, fundraising, managing finances and reviewing managment of VISION's operations and programs.  VISION also consists of an advisory board of individuals who provide expertise and offer assistance to VISION.  VISION is grateful for both boards time and commitment!  For more information on our boards visit www.schuylkillvision.com/about-us.html.

In 2019, Schuylkill County's VISION, in collaboration with Schuylkill Haven Borough and partners, broke ground on a community garden! Entering its third season, VISION and garden manager have big plans to expand the garden and fence it in. Funds raised will support the expansion from 4 garden beds to 6 garden beds. Funds will also be used to increase the proposed fencing from 70' x 40' to 100' x 60'. Remaining funds will be utilized to host educational events at the community garden location.

Are you a director, leader or board member of a local nonprofit? VISION is working with partners to launch the Schuylkill County Technical Assistance Center for Nonprofits (STAC). STAC will provide capacity building services that will enhance a nonprofit's organization to achieve its mission and aid sustainability.
