Our office recently hired a new legislative aide, Maddie. You'll see her around at various events and we're excited to have her on board!

We're planning a slew of local events including fishing, fostering, and trapshooting along with some pet parades. :-) Traveling office hours are coming soon, but please call anytime, we're always here to help!

My hand was slapped for calling out republicans last week. I stand by my comments, we shouldn't hold up committees no matter the excuses, which were basically the dems made us do it... Feels like I'm back in grade school at times.

HB1591: Illinois is already an out of state abortion haven. This bill paves the way on the marriage front by removing roadblocks for Illinois becoming an out of state marriage haven. You often hear republicans struggle with platform. Well, the votes here exemplify this statement. We're all over the map with no votes, not voting votes, and yes votes. Hmm. See all the votes here.

I'm off to a neighborhood meeting this Saturday for manufactured homes. What a conundrum there, lot rent is escalating and they need help without creating rent control. If anyone has ideas around this issue, please contact me.

Cousins are in from out of town. We'll hit church and I'm sure Ivans's (our staple Sunday brunch spot).

Still catching up some from losing an hour, but who doesn't love sunlight at 7:00 pm? Now we just need warm weather!
