The Kennett Run is back up and running next Saturday, May 7th, and so is Casa Guanajuato's Cinco de Mayo Festival, from 1pm to 7pm at 600 S. Broad Street. This festival, one of the region’s premier Cinco de Mayo events, will offer a feast for the senses with great food, great music and dance performances, activities, and something for everyone to enjoy!
On your way to or from the Cinco de Mayo Festival, stop in to see artist Carol Lesher's beautiful work at her Open Studio Day from 10am to 5pm (and pick up the perfect Mother's Day gift while you're there!). Carol says: "Immerse yourself in the sea of colors from my latest work ... Pick up an original piece or giclée print, including work from my popular Longwood Gardens collection."
And ... plan to celebrate moms, get a beautiful photo, and support the amazing work of YoungMoms in our community at their photo booth at the corner of State and Union Streets on Saturday, May 7th, and Sunday, May 8th, from 8am to 2pm. YoungMoms has been making an impact in Kennett Square and Oxford for more than a decade—inspiring, empowering, and equipping young moms to build thriving futures for themselves and their families. YoungMoms’ holistic approach provides practical and relational support that both pregnant and young mothers desperately need. Learn how you can support their work here.
