Call for evidence: Civil Society Submission on the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination

The Runnymede Trust is co-ordinating a shadow report assessing the Government’s implementation of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD) on behalf of civil society organisations.

We are seeking evidence from civil society organisations, academics and institutions to shape our report. The shadow report is crucial to holding the Government to account for their legal obligations under CERD. The 2016 report benefited from wide engagement from organisations across England and made a significant impact in informing the work of the UN committee on eliminating racial discrimination.

Submitting to this call for evidence is your chance to influence the civil society report and its recommendations for action.

Submissions should be up to 2000 words, should be well-referenced and include links to evidence and reports that are cited.

Please share your submissions as part of the google form below, or via email to: linsey@runnymedetrust.org.

If you have any queries about the inquiry please contact us at: linsey@runnymedetrust.org.

Deadline: 6pm Monday 8th March 2021
