FSU dedicates official home of Native American and Indigenous Studies Center

Florida State University dedicated the new home of its Native American and Indigenous Studies Center on Friday, bringing together FSU administrators, faculty and trustees and members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida for a special celebration during Homecoming Week. The NAIS Center’s new home is located at 535 West College Avenue, just steps from FSU’s iconic Westcott Fountain. Read more ...

FSU honors Divine Nine with new National Pan-Hellenic Council Park on campus

Florida State University celebrated the opening of the National Pan-Hellenic Council Park (NPHC) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony after the university’s Homecoming Day parade on Nov. 22. The NPHC Park, located between the Student Union and Legacy Walk, honors the nine historically African American/Black Fraternities and Sororities that fall under the National Pan-Hellenic Council (Divine 9). Read more ...

FSU’s International Genetically Engineered Machine team wins gold in Paris for rare disease research

Florida State University’s International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) team won its second-ever gold medal at the iGEM 2024 Grand Jamboree, held in Paris, France. Their work yielded promising results and continues as a project within FSU’s Institute for Pediatric Rare Diseases, a new institute that is expanding its reach alongside the larger FSU Health initiative. Read more ...

FSU student leader Rodney Wells named Rhodes Scholar finalist

Rodney Wells, a senior at Florida State University who aspires to become a civil rights attorney, has earned the prestigious accomplishment of being named a Rhodes Scholar finalist. Wells said his selection as a finalist is a testament to the supportive environment at FSU that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.
