November already - have you started your Christmas shopping? I haven't, but books always make good gifts. In this newsletter, I'll tell you about a new way to buy physical books that also supports your local independent bookshops. (It's new in the UK, it's been around in the USA for a while.) And if you're struggling for ideas, it also gives you recommendations from real people, not just algorithims.

Strong and noble heroines - this is an all genre giveaway for stories which include a female main character who can be seen as a positive role model. They might be heroic and life-saving or just good, quiet people who try to look out for others and do the right thing. Their strength can be physical, mental, emotional, or psychological (or any combination thereof). They also get rewarded for being the good people they are, although this can range from them finding a partner who loves and appreciates them to getting the new, independent life they’ve dreamed of.

There's around 60 books in this giveaway, so you're bound to find something you like. But hurry because they are only available until 20th November.

New life - coming up next time we have another all genre giveaway, this time for romances in which the main characters start a whole new life. Watch out for this one in a couple of weeks.

Bookshop is built around lists of recommendations set up by real people, not algorithims - just click on the books in the list to find out more, or to buy them. You'll see my first list, which is my Choices and Consequences series, but I plan to add more. The next list I'd like to add is 'Readers' Favourites' - so please do reply to this email with the books you enjoy for me to add.

Or, at the top right, you can click on 'Find a Bookshop' to locate your favourite independent bookshop and go to their page and find their lists - and they will get 30% of the sale price directly.

'Browse' will take you to lists in different genres, and of course there's always the 'search' facility to find specific authors, books, shops or genres.
