Hello and Namaste!

Welcome to my newsletter, ‘WHAT’S COOKING,' a cool way of me-connecting-with-you. 

I want to share how daunting and satisfying it's been to take the first steps on this writing journey. 

I thought as a writer, I just needed to write. Period. And the idea of a quiet writing cave suited my personality. Who knew, I'd also be doing book readings, school visits, networking with the bookstores and schools, Instagram lives, and newsletters. Nevertheless, I started taking one tiny baby step at a time to meet this new world that I thought was out of my comfort zone, but surprise, surprise, now I'm enjoying it. I would have never discovered this personality growth if it wasn't for taking the first step.

 I love this quote by Martin Luther King Jr. — 'Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.'

I still don't see the whole staircase, but I know when I read to children, their pure love fills me with joy, and it fuels me to take the next step. And I hope you too find the courage to take your first step in faith.
