GLL Business Advisors | Export Club on USA Market
On October 16, representatives of more than 20 Lithuanian life sciences companies took part in the meeting with GLL member and business advisor Algirdas Jonas Lukosevicius, Managing Director of Life Sciences at WeFund Health in the USA. He shared his insights on the trends in funding life science entities. The event was organised in cooperation with Enterprise Lithuania and lasted long into Q&A session.

Up-coming November is rich with impressive variety of events held by the Clubs of Lithuanian Professionals Abroad. On November 1, Professionals in Dublin will meet for their first Pub Social. On November 2, Professionals in Los Angeles organize the traditional Film Industry Networking. On November 7, Professionals in Stockholm hold B2B Meeting on Doing Business in Sweden. On November 10, London Professionals will invite to listen to stories of professionals coming back to Lithuania. On November 16, Professionals in Switzerland will meet in Cern for the first proper networking.

On October 10, GLL networking Back to Vilnius had a new location, high-level networking, and a different concept. We devoted half an hour to listen to two prominent global Lithuanians – Rimvydas Baltaduonis, Chairman of Seimas and Lithuanian Community Commission and Rokas Janutenas, Strategy Director at Lithuanian Railways. They shared their insights on the value of international experience and invited to play socially and politically active role in the development of Lithuania. They gave lots of ideas for further discussions and connections.

We Connect Lithuania | Young Ambassadors
The participants of We Connect Lithuania 2018 are sharing the word about the program in local communities and on media channels. Bridges Lithuanian-American News Journal published the interviews of two Young Ambassadors of Lithuania - Ieva Juska and Nathan Radtke on their summer internship in Lithuania. In a short video interview, participant from Canada Marta Matuzaite gave insights on her experience and identity. In addition, Emilia Strazdyte and Krista Angeliadis went to Lithuanian Camp in the USA Neringa and told about summer internship opportunities and off-work learning. Global Project | Ashes in the Snow Movie
October 2018 witnessed the historical release of one more global Lithuanian project – movie Ashes in the Snow based on the book of Rūta Šepetys Between the Shades of Gray, telling the moving and disturbing story of the massive deportations of Lithuanians in soviet era of Stalin. The movie was screened to the attention of the wide public of Lithuania, the events were attended by the author, director Marius Markevičius, the main actors Bel Powley, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Martin Wallstrom, screenwriter Ben York Jones, the whole Lithuanian crew. It touched the hearts of the public, now it shall reach the big screens of the USA.
