This month’s money tip is going out a little later than planned. I hope it is still of use to you and that you will apply my ‘better late than never’ philosophy when it comes to your money beliefs.
Because it is never too late to shine a light of awareness on your money beliefs, no matter how long you have lived by them or maybe not even considered them.
What are money beliefs?
Money beliefs are thoughts you keep thinking about money that have been shaped by your experience. You may hold them as universal truths or true when it comes to your experience.
The following visual gives examples of some money beliefs you may hold.
The negative money beliefs on the left of the visual tend to be far more common and widely held than the more positive or neutral beliefs on the right.
What is the benefit of shining a light of awareness on your money beliefs?
We come to realise that some of our money beliefs may be limiting us and proving detrimental to our financial well-being. Once we have accepted this, we can begin the process of change towards a more positive future experience of money.
If you would like support with the process of adopting some more positive money beliefs (and it is a process, it doesn’t happen overnight), consider joining my upcoming workshop ‘Money Beliefs and Me’ taking place on January 14th 2021 from 7pm to 8.30pm on Zoom.
Finally, I want to thank each of you for being part of the small but growing Money Coaching Ireland community. I wish you all every success, whatever that looks like for you, for the New Year and beyond.
