Dear AUGA community,
The war in Ukraine is mercilessly taking innocent lives and destroying the homes of peaceful citizens, leaving them huddling in bombed-out ruins. People are losing the foundations for safety and prosperity which the country’s people built up over the years for the well-being of the whole of Ukraine. That prosperity is now being destroyed. This massive aggression will have a long-term impact on the environment as well. How badly will the war damage the environment? This time we invite you to take a closer look at the environmental consequences of the war and ideas for how to contribute to a brighter future for us all. Moreover, in this issue we review a UN warning, composting at home, investor priorities, and how food system can help mitigate climate change.
