Hi everyone,
This will be a short newsletter since we're in the middle of the Belfast Summer School. Two weeks of online classes have been completed and the locally based tutors are all ready for one week of in-person classes for the first time since 2019.
The activities taking place at Queen's University Belfast this coming week include two public lectures, to which everyone is invited.
On Monday 18th July at 2pm, Lynn Gordon will deliver a talk entitled What is a Woman? Camilla, Vergil and an ancient answer to a complicated question in the Peter Froggatt Centre room 02/018 on the second floor.
In the same room on Thursday 21st July at 2pm, Dr Eirene Allen will give a lecture on Gods and Heroes in Homer and Ovid.
There is no need to book for these lectures, please do just come along, we would love to see you.
- Helen
