Call for Universal Access Artist in Residence

Deadline to apply: March 6

Residency dates: June 30-July 31, 2025

Exhibition dates: August 1 - September 28, 2025

The Universal Access Artist Residency is for artists who identify as having a disability. This month-long residency provides funding, studio space, and professional support for a national artist to produce a solo exhibition immediately following the residency at Artspace. During the residency the artist works in the gallery where the work will be exhibited.

First Friday Art Crawls are a great way for artists to earn some extra income while being in the heart of Boone during one of the busiest nights of the month. If you register before the end of February, the registration fee will be waived. Click below to find out more!

Blue Ridge National Heritage CRAFT Fund: $500

The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area is partnering with the North Carolina Arts Foundation to identify artists in need of financial assistance post-Hurricane Helene. Please complete the form that best applies to you to be considered for a $500 grant. Chosen grantees will be notified within 10 business days of submitting their form.

The Craft Emergency Relief Funds

CERF+ offers $3,000 Emergency Relief Grants to craft artists who experienced a recent and substantially disruptive emergency or disaster. To apply, visit their website and complete the online application with supporting documentation. For questions, contact programs@cerfplus.org or (802) 229-2306.
