Dear Congregation Members,
I have been asked by the Council to report this information to you, in hopes you can help.
Our Checking account, as of March 30, 2021 has $2,193.93.
We are taking in an average of $4,294.25 for the first 3 months of this church year.
Our expenses are an average of $4,424.66 for the same period of time.
This means, we are overspending what we are taking in by an average of $130.41. I know this does not seem like a lot, but we are supplementing our monthly revenue with the Pulpit Supply Grant, which only has $4,571,00 left in it. It is costing us an average of $1,302.00 to have a Pastor here. At this rate, we will need to find this money in another place by the middle of July. We have been fortunate in that we have received grants for the past 3 years to help cover this cost. We did not this year.
The council decided today, 4-11-21, that we would start having more Lay Services, but this is only a temporary fix. If you can find it in your heart to give a little more, we are going to need it to survive.
If you have any suggestions, please let one of the council members know.
I hate reporting information like this to you, but we are approaching a critical stage of keeping this church an active part of the Fernley Community.
In God’s Name, we trust.
