After reviewing school system plans and after much prayer, our church’s reopening plan will be enacted on Sunday, August 23! On that day, all in-person ministry and activities will resume as they were before COVID-19. Below is our schedule until then.


August 9: Worship at 10:15am (No Sunday School or child care)

Worship at 6:00pm with Dr. Herman Parker (No child care)

August 16: Worship at 10:15am (No Sunday School or child care)

Worship at 6:00pm with Dr. Gil McKee (No child care)

August 23: Worship at 10:15am & 6pm with Phil Waldrep.  A special love offering will be taken up that day.  We will also have Sunday School and children’s church.


August 5: Adult, Youth and Children’s bible study at 6:30pm (No child care)

August 12: Adult, Youth and Children’s bible study at 6:30pm (No child care)

August 19: We will have a special deacon ordination service for Rick Besant and Andrew Louallen at 6:30pm. (No child care)

* Face masks and social distancing continue to be recommended for all meetings of the church.

Volunteers Needed:

The Sound Team needs volunteers to learn to run the computer. Please contact Greg Crowe or the office for more information.


Sunday evenings August 9, 16, and 23. Special speakers are Dr. Herman Parker, Dr. Gil McKee and evangelist Phil Waldrep (Bro. Phil will speak at the am and pm service.)

August Business Meeting:

Wednesday, August 12th at 6:30pm

Deacon Ordination:

Wednesday, August 19th at 6:30pm we will have an ordination for Rick Besant and Andrew Louallen.


Our Homecoming that was scheduled for August 30, has been rescheduled for August 30, 2021.  However, we are going to celebrate God's goodness to Taylorville Baptist Church on the 30th of this month.  Dr Curtis Kelley will be bringing the morning message.

Student Meals:

We will be starting our student meals again on Wednesday evenings!  Please see the bulletin board to sign up!  Thank you!!

Would you like to have groceries or other household items delivered? We have people who would love to help! If you would prefer to stay home and have items brought to your door at no extra charge, please call the office at 205-758-0868.

We also have food available here at the church to help someone in our church or in our community. Please let us know if you or someone you know is in need!

In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel or adjust any scheduled or special service of TBC will be made as early as possible. Information pertaining to the cancellation or adjustment of services will be published on the church website and on the church Facebook page.
