Tenth Biennial BomPlenazo Celebration of Afro-Puerto Rican Music & Dance

In support of Puerto Rico, the Tenth Biennial Celebration of BomPlenazo, presented by the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture, features nearly 40 artists from all around the Island including Ponce, Loiza, Mayaguez, Santurce, and San Juan. Please join us a wide range of events including concerts, a panel discussion, workshops, film screenings, and more, culminating in the Vente-Tú (You Come) at La Casita de Chema.

The Mile-Long Opera: a biography of 7 o’clock

October 3 and 7, 2018 | 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Cost: FREE 

For five consecutive nights, October 3 – 7, 2018, 1,000 singers from across New York will come together on the High Line for the first-ever performances of The Mile-Long Opera: a biography of 7 o’clock. Co-produced by Diller Scofidio + Renfo and the High Line, this sweeping free choral work will immerse audiences in the personal stories of hundreds of New Yorkers about life in our rapidly changing city.

All performances are free but require advance tickets. On the day of each performance, the High Line will close early for general audiences to allow registered ticket holders to experience the performance at set reservation times each evening.

Compania Flamenca Eduardo Guerrero in Flamenco Passion!

Compania Flamenca Eduardo Guerrero presents “Flamenco Pasion”. This group of elite artists, including Eduardo Guerrero himself, captivates audiences as they convey all of the different feelings of this temperamental and passionate dance.

Eduardo Guerrero, critically acclaimed flamenco dancer and choreographer, uses his eclectic style, combining classical and contemporary Spanish dance, ballet, and contortion to express the depth of passion and skill exhibited in the many styles of this beloved, Spanish art form.
