Last June I recommended a book called Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree which I thought was absolutely brilliant. I've just discovered that the second book in the series, Bookshops and Bonedust, was released last November, but it's currently just £0.99 - at least in the UK. I can't wait to read it, although I think it may turn out to be a prequel rather than a sequel.
So what else have I been reading? (I'm in the UK so prices may be different elsewhere)
The Bookshop Ladies by Faith Hogan - £0.99 - a story of friendship, betrayal, and secrets in this story of a widow in search of answers to a shocking confession by her dying husband. It had me totally captivated even when I thought I could work out what was going to happen.
One Long Weekend by Shari Low - £1.39, or available on Prime - I haven't found a Shari Low book that I didn't enjoy, and this one returns to some old friends. Val Murray has mislaid her most precious mementoes of the people she’s loved and lost. Can her family, the wonders of technology, and a little divine intervention somehow mend her shattered heart?
The Butterfly Garden by Rachel Burton - £0.99, or available on Prime - this is a two timeline historical story. I've always enjoyed stories with the two timelines interwining as one finds out more about the other, and this is a good one. Two apparently unconnected people have each been left half of a cottage and they have to dig into the past to find out why.
So, what have you been reading, and what would you recommend?
