We've all experienced the feeling of being devalued. Listen as Rev. Dave Smazik speaks on stepping out of the shadow of devaluation into the light of finding our worth in Christ.
The essence of the Passover tradition and images of embracing one who has been lost in the shadows remind us of our unique personal value. Christ’s earthly intention was to show that no one is left in the shadows. In our (what can become) obsession to prove our value, we disengage from Christ’s unconditional intention for us. In a reorientation of our focus, we are freed from our personal quest for validation to bring light into the shadows of those who do not yet believe in their intrinsic value.
As we live into this affirmation of who we are, from what behaviors and routines are we freed to bring this light of worth into the shadows of those who are different than ourselves?
