We can't believe we're saying this already, but, what a YEAR! Oh, it was not without its tests and trials. Some months and moments pushed us to our limit. But those things helped us grow both personally and professionally--our little business that could actually now can, with God's grace. Uniik Pillows was able to expand tremendously in the local area this year, and it's been such a joy getting to know all of the fine artisans and local businesses throughout the valley. This quarter also marks the one year anniversary of moving into our physical office and workshop, which helped with organizing inventory and given us that "this is real" feeling. Overall, we have a more sure purpose, a clearer vision and direction for this from-the-heart company, and we owe a lot of it to you, our faithful readers and customers. While we're at it, we also want to give a public thanks to the whole staff of hard working women: our creative founders and dynamic mom and daughter duo, Yolindi and Carealee de Gouveia; Nohemi Verkest for her optimum customer service; our phenomenal marketer Misty Schwartz; wordsmith and copywriter Anissa Rowe, and last but not least our photographer, Amber Gastelum. Team work makes the dream work, ladies!
So what are some of your fondest memories from 2019? How do you feel you've grown as a person? In between all of the gatherings of holiday festivities where you'll undoubtedly make new memories this month, take some time to recap. Give yourself a pat on the back if you've earned it! But most importantly, enjoy this wonderful time of year to its fullest. Don't get caught up in the stress of gift giving and trying to make everyone happy while going broke. Don't fret about the recipe that bombs or the stocking that gets chewed up by the dog (we hope that doesn't happen, but you get the point). Be present. Soak in all the sweetness of the season and tell yourself to find joy in the journey as you look forward to a brand new decade.
