![]() Please welcome Lesley Monet, Staff Coordinator! Lesley’s personal experience in caregiving and healthcare has led her to her calling to join Aware’s award-winning staff coordination team. Healthcare professionalism and compassion are goal’s that Lesley is focused on as she joins the team. Lesley joined us right as we entered into the COVID-19 Pandemic stay at home and has been outstanding. Lesley is excited to be a part of Aware Senior Care and is looking forward to serving the community.
Abbotswood at Stonehenge Selects Aware Senior Care as On-Site Home Care Partner Aware Senior Care is pleased to announce that Abbotswood at Stonehenge has reached an agreement with Aware Senior Care to have the agency become its onsite home care partner.

She is a registered nurse with more than 30 years in the field of gerontology. Gina recently achieved a certification in Teepa Snows Positive Approach to Care as a Dementia Trainer. In May of 2019, Gina was honored by the Association for Home & Hospice Care of North Carolina with the Sherry Leigh Thomas Nurse of the Year Award.

She is associated with Dementia Alliance of North Carolina (formerly known as Alzheimer’s North Carolina), Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care, Bunn Consulting, and Duke University School of Nursing.

More than 170,000 people in North Carolina are impacted by all types of Dementia, including Alzheimer’s. The need is great to build a state of caring.
That’s why DA-NC provides CARE (Comfort, Assistance, Resources and Education) to caregivers, individuals, medical professionals and partners in North Carolina. Without DA-NC, there would be no local support organization based in NC. It is the only Dementia-focused organization based in North Carolina where 100 percent of donated funds remain in the state.
