Hi , have you taken out all your sweaters?
I have, and I can't wait to wear them! I like working in the winter. I can enjoy a warm cup of tea or put a blanket on my legs while I sew. Even the clothes iron is friendlier during this time of year because it helps keep me warm.
November started with some live fittings for measurements for a new job and more news on the shop.

Thanks to Alice, I can now manage my time between sewing jobs, creating video courses, and updating the shop much better. This past month we have been dedicated to including new products that will help you create your own custom-made underwear. We are working behind the scenes to bring a lot of new things to Secret Times. Unfortunately that leaves me little time to devote to historical tailoring. Today I'm giving you a sneak peek at a project that is a little out of my comfort zone.

When I bought the new embroidery machine, the first thing I thought of were men's jackets from the eighteenth century. In other words, the men's suits you can find in "Outlander" or "Dangerous Liaisons."

Yes, in case you couldn't tell, I am a Fan of Costume TV series and films, and in this regard keep reading this Newsletter, because you will find a little something new.

Given the amount of time I spend watching historical movies and TV series, I thought I would start a new column where I share a Period Costume movie or series with you.

I will indicate the historical period in which the work is set and use a symbolic star rating system to rate the costumes.

The first movie I have decided to suggest is one that I have always enjoyed for its theme, and I find it to be particularly fitting because of the men's embroidered jacket I am working on.
