The Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee (TTAC) will hold a public meeting via teleconference on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 1:00pm ET to 4:00pm ET. The TTAC was established on February 10, 2015 by the Tribal General Welfare Exclusion Act (GWEA) (P.L. 113-168) and is composed of seven members that advise the Secretary of the Treasury on issues regarding taxation of Indians, the implementation of the GWEA, the training of Internal Revenue Service field agents, and the provision of training and technical assistance to Tribal financial officers. The Internal Revenue Service Commissioner, Charles Rettig, is also scheduled to join the meeting.
Registration is not required for the meeting but individuals wishing to provide public comments during the TTAC meeting must email TTAC@treasury.gov
and provide their name, title, organization affiliation, date of the public meeting, and email address.This information must be emailed to Treasury by June 11, 2021.

TTAC Tribal Pension Subcommittee Survey
The TTAC Tribal Pension Subcommittee has recently released a survey to research the impacts of Tribal pension programs on the general welfare of Tribal Nations. The survey consists of multiple questions focused on pensions, benefits, and retirement programs of Tribal Nations. Participation in the survey is voluntary and participants will not receive compensation of any kind for completing the survey. Also, to protect participant confidentiality the survey will not contain information that will be personally identifiable.
The survey should be completed by individuals, employees, and representatives of Tribal Nations over the age of 18 who work in the fields of finance, human resources, law, or employment policy. This research is being conducted by Eric S. Trevan, Pd.D on behalf of the TTAC Tribal Pension Subcommittee. The survey will be open until June 30, 2021 at 11:59pm PT.
